This is a long-haired brush for line drawing. (Under each categories of Chinese brush, soft, hard or mixed-hair, there are two sub categories - short or long-haired brushes.) Springy and holding more water, this lettering brush can be used to good effect in brush drawing. By moving the brush rapidly, the hairs begin to set up their own movement, producing a 'scribble' effect in calligrahy and painting.
