Notebook for Chinese Writing

This blank thread-bound notebook is for traditional Chinese brush writing in vertical format. Because each page is ruled for ten lines, this one is also called ten lines. As a must in a feudal Chinese studio, it was used in correspondence, Buddhist sutra copy, book-keeping, exercise-book, and a form of presentation in Chinese calligraphy. Upon the finish, the title of the book would be written on a strip of paper and glued on to the cover.
