The containers for seal ink are traditionally made of porcelain. Always keep the ink in a closed container to prevent it from drying. If the ink feels dry after some years leaving unused, add a few drops of old castor oil and then beat it even with a stick. Test the ink on a strip of rice paper, making sure it will give a clear stamp.
