Sizing alum

This mineral pigment can be used either for general sizing or unbleeding effect on part of unsized rice paper. It can be mixed with other water-based mediums like watercolor and tempera.

To prepare sizing liquid, soak desired amount of alum in four time of cool water till it expands fully. Add additional six time 80 C hot water and stir the mixture even.
