Manually dyed with its natural color shown in scattered spots, this handmade paper is designed for calligraphy. In old-fashioned residence, the paper was often used for the antithetical couplet that hung on side of central scroll in the middle of the wall of the mail room. The other uses of the paper are the title page of traditional thread-bound books and an alternative to damask silk in rice paper scroll mounting for its decorative nature.
