Hanging cord

1. Choose a cord of antique flavor. Pass the cord through the rings and tie a reef-knot on either outer ring. Tighten the cord and cut its ends at about half the length between outer and inner rings. Support an odd bit of silk of antique flavor with rice paper and cut the silk into four strips 3/8 inch wide and 1 1/8 inch long. Apply paste to the paper side of the strips and bind the ends to the cord.
   
   
   
   
2. Cut a soft, 1/4 inch silk ribbon about 2 ft long and tie a reef-knot at the middle of hanging cord.
